About The Author

Of all the titles that define her, “Preacher’s Kid” is the one Nancy Herzog Walker holds as most transformational. Born in Washington, D.C., Nancy’s early years were influenced by the salt and pepper of life at home and living in the shadow of the consuming ministry of her father, Rev. Robert Herzog. Being around her Dad meant moving from church to church throughout the diocese, and witnessing his pastoral duties of ministering to the sick, the dying, and anyone in need of the Good News. As her father’s faith and ministry matured so did his interest in end-of-life experiences from the Christian perspective. Nancy didn’t quite understand the passion and appreciated the chance to focus on her own career. After marrying, she and her husband moved to Florida, started a family, and Nancy became active in their church. She is the founder of a strategic communications firm, now in its 30th year, which helps companies uncover and articulate their authentic story in moving their business forward. After the death of her father and the profound experience of his dying, Nancy found herself immersed in the world of hospice in rebranding the local organization. Her work with clients has given her the insights and skills for telling what Nancy believes is her greatest story yet. She is an avid speaker and enjoys all things outdoors and the abundance of God.
